It was Chico Buarque's first ever performance in his beloved Rio de Janeiro; Chico had started his singing career in São Paulo in late 1965, but never had a chance to sing in his hometown.

Maysa left Brazil for Europe circa 1962... since then the Brazilian musical scene changed dramatically with the consolidation of local rock and the so-called MPB (Brazilian Popular Music originated in samba, choro, Portuguese fado etc. Maysa must have been really surprised when she noticed the world belonged to a different age bracket.

NANA CAYMMI  /  FLORA

Nana Caymmi confesses to Brazilian TV Guide 'Intervalo' she envies the great Elis Regina in an article in November 1966.
two weeks later, Flora tells the same magazine 'Intervalo' she started singing at the shower... and had plans to go the USA & Europe soon... Everyone knows she later married percusion man Airto Moreira and had a long singing career in the USA.
